I am struggling. I tried to comment to a comment Emily made to me. Instead, I ended up commenting to my original post. How does one comment to a comment? Or can one not have a blog dialogue?
You can post a comment to a comment, but they'll all be listed under the original post. It can become like a running dialog, with the comments strung out below the post. Usually, the most recent comment is on top, but you can go to your blog settings and change that so the "conversation" runs in order from top to bottom.
AND you'll notice that when you leave comments you can check a box in order receive emails about follow up comments. There are 3rd-party resources you can use, too (like Co-comment), to keep track of blogs you are commenting on, but that is a little beyond us at this point. You can also add a gadget to your blog so that people can subscribe to the comments feed. Oh my, so many options :)
